Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse, stands at 6189 meters (20305ft) above sea level. It stands in the picturesque Imja Valley in the Everest region, only a few miles from Mount Everest (8848m). The peak looks like an island from a distance amidst the icy waters guarded by silver mountains.
